Who’s the Rapido for?
Incredibly user-friendly and packing a heap of features El Rapido suits complete novice to advanced riders and commuters that are looking to dash from place to place with ease and in comfort. Comfortable and low maintenance, it requires no experience to operate or assemble (comes 85% pre-assembled). 100% Australian road legal, this e-bike is licence and rego exempt.

36v/13ah will last you 65km+ with a 4-5 hour charge time. The Samsung cell battery guarantees longevity backed by a 1-year warranty. Slides in-and-out for ease of charging. Lockable (with a key) to help keep it secure.

100% Australian Road Legal

Rapido is 100% road legal. It can be used and considered as a normal pushbike in terms of road rules. It can be used on cycle tracks and treated the exact same as a pushbike when the throttle is disabled, even when still using the Intelligent Pedal Assist (i.e. when still using the motor).

Light Alloy Step-Through Frame

Less weight extends your battery range

26-inch alloy frame (weighing just 19kg without battery!). Chose from blue, red or black. All come in the step-through design so you can hop on and off with ease.

The frame is thoughtfully designed to include a mountable rear-wheel bracket you can tie down cargo on.

Front and Rear Mudgaurds

Mudguards are fixed above each wheel as a preventative measure against splashback while riding across various terrains. Simple as they might be, they serve purpose – thoughtfully included to help ensure your riding safety and comfort. Stop unwanted dirt, water or rocks from flying up and causing injury. Keep you and your clothing clean while cycling, arrive fresh and sharp. Whilst other brands may not include mudguards in their design, requiring you to purchase it as an additional feature, all bikes in the Vamos range come with everything you need to get riding safely, comfortably, and enjoyably – including mudguards.

Suits people of all builds and sizes

Can suit a rider from 5' ft to 6'6" ft

El Rapido 2023 suits people of all sizes, from 5’ ft to 6’6” ft. Handlebars and seating position are fully adjustable. Setup to your height and riding preference. If you’re on the smaller side (below 5’3” ft) we’d recommend swapping out the suspension seat post for our purpose-designed lower riding alternate that allows the seat to drop more. There’s no additional cost for this, just mention it in the comments when you go to complete your purchase and we’ll include it instead of the standard suspension seat post.

Step-through frame design (the classic European commuter design) makes getting on-and-off this bike effortless and comfortable regardless of your body build, fitness or height. As the name suggests, simply ‘step through’ – no need to swing your leg over like other bike designs. Coming to a complete stop is also made more comfortable. Once stationary you can easily stand up with both feet planted on the ground. No need to orient your weight to one side and rest on one foot at a lean. El Rapido 2023 remains incredibly user-friendly and practical for your daily commute and dashing place to place.

Hydraulic Disc Brakes (Front & Rear)

Better Stopping Power & Less Maintenance

Know you can stop suddenly if required with Tektro HD-E350 hydraulic disc breaks fitted to both the front and rear wheels. With more stopping power than mechanical brakes, less force is required to apply the lever and receive the same stopping power.

However, perhaps the most important advantage of hydraulic brakes comes with maintenance. We’ve designed this e-bike to be as low maintenance for you as possible. Ready to ride at all times. Hydraulic disc brakes will automatically self-adjust as they wear down, unlike mechanical ones that require constant, complicated and fiddly adjustment to keep you riding safer for longer. For a daily commuter e-bike, hydraulic brakes are a huge benefit over mechanical brakes.

Front Suspension Forks

Comfier ride over bumps and rough terrain

To keep you riding in comfort for longer and over more diverse terrain El Rapido 2023 comes complete with SR SUNTOUR front forks. Better glide over rough and bumpy surfaces with ease. For a comfier ride, front suspension is a must.

Bafang Rear Hub Motor

Quick and smooth, with predictable, easy-to-control power

Rear hub motor design results in better traction and stronger frame mounting. It also helps you to maintain balance when steering at higher speeds.

Befang has been at the forefront of e-mobility design for almost 20 years. Backed by a 1-year warranty, you know this motor will last.

These motors are small, lightweight and discreet; located within the centre of the rear wheel.

Simply pedalling the bike will activate the motor, spurring you onwards.

Intergrated Lights (Front & Rear)

Ready to ride, day or night

Adjustable front and rear lights are integrated into the Rapido. Come nightfall you’re ready to ride safely at the flick of a switch. Plus additional reflectors for added visibility when lights are shining on you. No need to spend more on extras like after-market lighting (though we’re not against it if you want to keep really safe!).

Half Grip Throttle

Reach speeds without pedalling

Half grip throttle to control your speed when using the motor.

Half grip throttles are like the little brother of full twist throttles. They operate the exact same way as a full twist throttle except that they don’t reach all the way to the end of the handlebar. They reach about half way.

Adjustable Handle Positon

Adjust the angle of the handlebars to suit your height and riding preference.

The handlebar plays a crucial role in the comfort, safety and longevity of the ride. One of the main sources of cycling fatigue and discomfort is a poorly-positioned handlebar that fails to accommodate your body’s natural alignment. Adjusting the angle of the handlebar allows you to ride for longer, feel more perfectly balanced, gives you greater control in steering, and ultimately allows you to cover greater distance without tiring quickly. Ensure you have all controls, including the brake levers, easily at hand when needed.

Using the settings available bring the handlebars towards you or have them set further away, raise them up or down and also orientate the tilt of the steering to your preference to ensure you get the comfiest ride possible. Measurement guides are provided on the bike at each adjustment point to help allow you to get your perfect alignment.
